at high tide, gives one the illusion of being at sea; the Bay
of Fundy lapping at the sea wall as it would the bow of a ship.
However, this elegant, two-bedroom home, is located safely on
shore in one of the Maritimes’ most picturesque and historical
towns - St. Andrews-By-the-sea. In town and on the water; The
Water House is one of our most desirable summer rentals.
Beautifully landscaped, the grounds, the three decks , and
the two slated patios all offer breath-taking views out to sea.
The private wooden board walk beyond the lower patio is the
perfect place to lounge in an Adirondack while watching the
fishing and sailing boats in St. Andrews harbour.
Being built on a slope, allows for all three floors of this
beautiful home to be flooded with natural light. High end blinds
and air conditioning keep the home comfortable on even the warmest
days, but for the most part an open door or window is all you
need do to welcome a cool ocean breeze. From the lower patio,
you can enter directly into a large games/exercise room, office
and sitting area or through another set of doors into an over-size
guest bedroom suite with ensuite bath. This room sleeps six.
Also on this level is a half bath and the home’s second
laundry.
The main level is the heart of the home; the fully equipped
chef’s kitchen opens to an elegant dining room and living
room both with their own gas fireplaces and all three rooms
have stunning views. Also on this level are an office with the
comfort of a wood burning fireplace and the convenience of wireless
internet, and a family room and half bath. The patio off the
kitchen has a deluxe barbeque - convenient for preparing a summer
meal.
The entire third floor is the home’s Master Suite. The
large bedroom (King-size bed) with its adjacent sitting room
complete with gas fireplace, opens onto an ocean-front balcony.
There is a small anteroom off the bedroom, with a single bed.
There are separate shower, bath, and water closet rooms as well
as two dressing rooms and laundry.
