History in the making...

Treadwell Inn was originally built Circa 1820 by ships chandler, John Treadwell. This meticulously crafted building later served as the Town’s Customs House, as proclaimed by a stained glass window over one entrance.

To create the atmosphere of this era, owners, Annette Lacey and Jerry Mercer faithfully restored the architectural details and furnished the guest rooms with period antiques.

     

The St. Andrews Civic Trust recognized the restoration and preservation efforts by awarding them, the prestigious "Award of Merit."
